Overview

The Awesome Oscillator (AO) measures market momentum by comparing a short-term moving average to a longer-term moving average.

It helps identify:

  • Momentum shifts

  • Trend strength

  • Potential reversals

  • Bullish and bearish acceleration

The oscillator fluctuates above and below the zero line.

Average Type
Select the moving average type.
Default: Simple

AO Length 1
Short-period average length.
Default: 5

AO Length 2
Long-period average length.
Default: 34

Average Length
Smoothing length applied to the signal line (if enabled).


Level Settings

Middle Level – Default: 50
Lower Level – Default: 20
High Level – Default: 80

Level colors and width can be customized.
