The Deepcharts Overlay Symbol indicator allows you to display the chart of another financial instrument on the main chart, allowing you to monitor multiple instruments at the same time. This can be done by creating a secondary chart area or by overlaying the two charts.
The second chart will be set to the same time frame as the main chart, and whenever this is changed, the second chart's time frame will automatically change as well.
By clicking on the indicator settings icon, the relevant configuration window will open, within which it will be possible to make various choices regarding the indicator's functionality.
By clicking on Select you can select the symbol you want to overlay.
If enabled, the size of the candles will vary depending on the volume traded in each of them.
If enabled, the color of the candles will vary depending on the delta of each of them.
Defines the maximum width % of volume-based candles.
If enabled, the color of the candlestick border will vary depending on whether the candlestick is bullish or bearish.
Defines the database for delta calculation, being able to choose between Volume and Trades.
Defines how to color the bars in case of delta-based color, with the option to choose between fade and fixed.
Defines the standard deviation value for the fade mode.
By clicking on the subgraph icon at the top you can change the border and filling color of the candles.
Change the chart style, choosing between Line, Candlestick, OHLC, Hidden, Candlebody charts.
Change the border thickness.
If you want to overlay the two charts in the main chart area, select chart area 1 at the top of the indicator window, see the following figure.
Remember to enable the Use sec. axis option if the price scale of the two instruments is different.
